Suspension Bridge across Brazos River
Waco, Texas

June 2010

This suspension bridge was finished
in 1870 as a toll bridge. Traffic
across the bridge was wagons,
pedestrians (down the sides of bridge),
cattle herds. A very interesting structure
for its time.

Donna is taking the
bull by the horns here.
This bull and rider are located in
front of the suspensin bridge,
denoting the cattle herds driven
across the bridge.
This is a modern day bridge carrying
vehicle traffic across the Brazos river.
